RE: Somerville Dog Newsletter

I like this newsletter for the dog owners of Somerville, MA. I am posting the entire email so that all residents of the greater Boston area can get information pertaining to the MassDog site, and the ArtBeat project. Read on...

Dear Friends of Somerville Dogs,

In addition to exciting news about a new state-wide coalition of dog-owner groups, I would like to take this opportunity to announce that ArtBeat, one of the area's largest and most innovative arts festivals, is returning to Davis Square Friday night and all day Saturday, July 17 & 18. The theme this year is Somerville... of the Future!

som|dog has applied for a booth at ArtBeat, and we need Somerville dog owners to help out. Please r.s.v.p. to somdog@somervilledog.com if you are available for an hour or two, Saturday, July 19 to hang out (with or without your dog) at our booth, smile at folks, and fantasize about how great it will be to live with dogs in Somerville... of the Future!

I am also pleased to announce that the Coalition of Massachusetts Dog Owners Groups (MassDOG) has a new website at http://www.massdog.org. Please visit the website to find off-leash recreational areas in Massachusetts and to join the MassDOG mailing list to get involved in creating more safe and legal opportunities for off-leash recreation in Massachusetts!

If you are on Facebook, please join the Facebook Group for Massachusetts Dog Owners:

Wishing you and your dogs a Happy Independence Day,

Cheers,
Michele

  2. Happy to do so! I love Som-Dog, all it stands for, and I hope my students can get a chance to check out all the festivities at Art Beat. I also hope that with the information found at Mass-Dog, people will get outside with their dogs over these summer months.

    Thanks for reading!
