  3. Very neat! I checked out your site. They need some pics of Sadie on the doggie daycare. :)

Do you take dogs that have a dx of epilepsy? Most places don't- so I was just curious.

  4. There is an animal hospital down the block. If there is any medication (preventative or otherwise) that has to be administered during the day it will be dosed as recommended.

There is also a consent form stating that dogs are dogs, and though we will try everything to create a safe environment, things sometimes can occur and that we will handle the situation as need be. Either take the dog to the vet, call the owner, etc. We would take the very same measure if a dog was to have a seizure.

Many cases a daycare would not take a dog that has a chronic case of epilepsy as a result of liability. However, my opinion is that if the proper waivers are filled out, and the staff is trained in proper management of such activity, there should be no problem, but we'd have to visit on a case by case basis, discuss with the owner and make sure that it would be the right environment for such a case.
